The purpose of the operation of the Tenders Committee of the Municipality is to ensure the independent and impartial process of announcing, receiving, unsealing, evaluating and ultimately awarding any tenders announced by the Municipality, always operating within the framework of the provisions of both the Law on Municipalities of 2022 (52( I)/2022) but in particular the Regulation of Public Procurement Procedures and Related Matters Law of 2016 (73(I)/2016), which you can find at the following link, http://www.cylaw. org/nomoi/enop/non-ind/2016_1_73/full.html.
Within the framework of what is possible, taking into account the quality and of course always within the framework of the law, the Municipality tries to operate through tenders for all projects or services, trying to ensure its financial interests.
The Tenders Committee is composed of members of the Municipal Council who belong to all independent parties, coalitions of parties and combinations of independents and independents, in proportion, if possible, to their numerical representation in the council. Committee sessions are attended by competent officials of the municipal service depending on the offer that will either be prepared or evaluated and minutes are kept for all Committee sessions.
The decisions of the Committee are referred for ratification by the Municipal Council, which also constitutes the Tenders Council.
